Which TVs work?

Chromecast, Google TV and TVs with Chromecast built-in, plus smart TVs that support DLNA (for example Xiaomi PatchWall, Samsung, LG). Fire TV has neither: install a DLNA receiver app on it and it will appear under “Other TVs (DLNA)”.

No TV is found

Your iPhone and the TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network (guest networks often block this). Check that Castwave may use the local network: iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → Castwave. Then tap “Search again” in the TV list.

No video is found on a page

Start playing the video on the page first: many sites only load it then. Services with DRM (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video…) can't be cast, by design. Some players never expose a video address; the app tells you when that's the case.

The TV doesn't play the video

Castwave first lets the TV fetch the video directly; if the site refuses, it relays the video through your iPhone, which must then stay on the same Wi-Fi. If it still fails, open the list of found videos, tap Diagnostics, then the share button on the Report tab, keep the tokens hidden and send the report to us.

A site doesn't work with the ad blocker

Tap the shield in the address bar to turn blocking off for that site only. Tap it again to turn it back on.

Casting with the screen locked

Casting continues when you lock your iPhone, and you can control it from the Lock Screen. When a video is relayed through your iPhone, it stops if the iPhone leaves the network or the app is closed.

Deleting your data

Castwave has no account and sends nothing to us. Close tabs in the tab view and swipe a favourite to delete it. Diagnostics → Relay → “Forget remembered sites” resets which sites need relaying. To remove everything, including cookies and website data, delete the app.

Quali TV funzionano?

Chromecast, Google TV e TV con Chromecast integrato, più le smart TV compatibili DLNA (per esempio Xiaomi PatchWall, Samsung, LG). Fire TV non ha né l'uno né l'altro: installa un'app ricevitore DLNA e comparirà sotto «Other TVs (DLNA)».

Non trova nessuna TV

iPhone e TV devono essere sulla stessa rete Wi-Fi (le reti ospiti spesso lo impediscono). Verifica che Castwave possa usare la rete locale: Impostazioni dell'iPhone → Privacy e sicurezza → Rete locale → Castwave. Poi tocca «Search again» nell'elenco delle TV.

Non trova il video in una pagina

Avvia prima il video nella pagina: molti siti lo caricano solo allora. I servizi con DRM (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video…) non si possono trasmettere, per scelta loro. Alcuni player non espongono mai l'indirizzo del video; in quel caso l'app te lo dice.

La TV non riproduce il video

Castwave prova prima a far scaricare il video direttamente alla TV; se il sito lo rifiuta, lo inoltra passando dall'iPhone, che deve quindi restare sulla stessa rete Wi-Fi. Se non funziona ancora, apri l'elenco dei video trovati, tocca Diagnostics, poi il pulsante di condivisione nella scheda Report, lascia nascosti i token e mandaci il report.

Un sito non funziona con il blocco pubblicità

Tocca lo scudo nella barra degli indirizzi per disattivare il blocco solo per quel sito. Toccalo di nuovo per riattivarlo.

Trasmettere con lo schermo bloccato

La trasmissione continua quando blocchi l'iPhone, e puoi controllarla dalla schermata di blocco. Se il video passa dall'iPhone, si ferma quando l'iPhone esce dalla rete o l'app viene chiusa.

Eliminare i dati

Castwave non ha account e non ci invia nulla. Chiudi le schede dalla vista schede e scorri un preferito per eliminarlo. Diagnostics → Relay → «Forget remembered sites» azzera l'elenco dei siti che richiedono l'inoltro. Per cancellare tutto, cookie e dati dei siti compresi, elimina l'app.
